Jon Hyers grew up loving special effects in films, TV and at Disneyworld, Florida. When Jon was about 12, he saw Disney's Space Mountain Ride, and got inspired by the film projection of Asteroids in Space, the first Virtual Effect he'd seen. Many years later Jon was making independent films, full of special effects. In 1993-1997, Hyers worked at a haunted house, where he developed Virtual Effects which have become Video Projection Effects. Prior to the Halloween and Christmas Video Projection DVD business, which Jon Hyers created, Jon did 1000's of Corporate Videos, films and live event videos. But his interest was always in visual effects, which since 2010 have become Jon's full time job. Jon Hyers personally avoids CGI, in favor of effects based on Real Objects and Energy. Hyers Outrageous Media DVDs, aka Jon Hyers Visual Effects DVDs were first released in 1997, more than 600,000 DVDs [and former VHS tapes] have been sold around the world.  Jon is also a filmmaker and in 2006 released Alnwick Castle the Real Hogwarts, 2007 The Haunting of North 3rd Street, and 2013, Harry Murdoch and the Curse of the Grim Reaper.
